UT’s instrumented equipment is used to measure the wall thickness of the pipe during the pig’s journey, using the ultrasound technique. These equipment’s are recommended for corrosion inspection (loss of metal) for the inspection of old and / or severely corroded pipes providing a higher level of detail and precision in corroded areas.
